Since its foundation, not only have the size of the workforce and premises of A. Sievers GmbH continued to grow, but the number and range of production machines has also increased.
Due to the company’s continued growth and consistent expansion of the product range, production itself has been increased ever further, and moved into larger production halls.
In 1997, the company completed the purchase of premises on the new industrial estate in Hemmingen, while also building a new, modern production hall. In the years that followed, even these new premises were unable to meet the company’s growing requirements, and the production hall and office complex were both expanded on multiple occasions.
Today, A. Sievers GmbH possesses tree modern production lines, enabling us to produce large quantities of license plates. In order to meet the high level of demand for high-quality license plates, our production lines run continuously throughout the day, overseen by multiple shifts of employees.
In addition, we have held the DIN/ISO 9001 quality certification since 1999, which documents the high quality of the products we manufacture and the services we provide.
Sustainable production
Environmental protection and the conservation of natural resources are very important to us, which is why we have invested more and more in sustainable production.
In 2012, for example, all lighting was replaced by energy-saving LED technology and in 2014 a photovoltaic system was installed on the roof of the production hall. In spring 2022, we built a new energy-efficient warehouse. When building the new hall, we placed great emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability. Among other things, the entire roof of the new hall was equipped with a photovoltaic system, which allows us to cover about 70 to 80 percent of the electricity needs of our company. Furthermore, we have put charging stations for electrically powered vehicles, battery storage and a combined heat and power plant into operation.
Energy efficiency and sustainability are important to us not only in our facilities and vehicles, but also in our products. For example, we use mostly recycled aluminium in the production of our licence plates, which requires much less energy in the manufacturing process.
Our ambition is to continue to pay attention to the environment and to use resource-saving technology in the future.
